Our essence is Qi, which unites us into a whole, and similarly, the entire world is enveloped and infused with Qi.
Slow down, find the most moving, most touching moments in your memories, and distill their essence. For Duan Yuan, who has spent many years deeply immersed in the field of dining space design, this process of refinement is the foundation for initiating projects. It represents the soul and essence of dining space design, where Qi establishes the connection between people and space. From this point, the design begins, and the intrinsic vitality of the space is nurtured and activated.
Chapter 1
The spatial prototype starts from the characteristics of local architecture, engages in divergent thinking, and simultaneously emphasizes the research of regional cultural attributes and the integration of culinary culture to express the unique charm of the space.
In the exploration of design creativity, the way in which architectural space, as a static language of spatial volume, resonates and contrasts with the interior space is the best approach to constructing a concept.
Chapter 2
A piece of scenery within our interiors acts as a portal to the soul's utmost serenity, a testament to the profound connection between our inner world and the natural beauty that surrounds us. So many spirits find solace and inspiration in the embrace of nature, capturing its essence within the four walls we call home.
The deep green texture of the ceiling complements the warm lighting, enhancing each other beautifully. The riverscape outside the window is as picturesque as a poem, while inside the window lies a warm scroll of living. All the beautiful light comes from the source of the spirit, and the construction of this spiritual world is inseparable from the poetic nature of design.
Chapter 3
"‘Xiang(象)’ is the environment phase, ‘Wang(ç½”)’ is illusory, elegant and orderly, different steps, blend and converge, forming a symmetrical relationship of light and shadow, like a picturesque poem."
Stroke by stroke, line by line, we pour our hearts into crafting a beautiful "realm" in which one can immerse themselves. Within this artistic conception, diners can not only savor the most authentic Huaiyang cuisine but also experience firsthand the genuine human care that originates from the essence of life itself.
Chapter 4
Upon closer inspection, the quietly flowing light acts as an installation, drawing attention through the space, and amidst its free extension, interspersed greenery embellishes like streams in a dense forest or sparks of inspiration. This scene perfectly encapsulates the concept of "when space blossoms."
Following the steps from the front hall into the central hall, one progresses through layers of meticulously interconnected designs to a sudden, expansive openness. The designer ingeniously integrates glass handrails with a steel structure staircase within the space, creating an interactive relationship with the environment. Here, cuisine and emotion interlace and persist, as modern structures blend harmoniously with the spatial rhythm, revealing abundant creativity in a seemingly natural and effortless fusion.
The elements of lines, volumes, and layers are continuously perceived through repetition, while the interplay of light and shadow becomes the unique language that forms the optimal structure of space.
Chapter 5
All phenomena and rebirth evolve from structural order, breaking conventional imaginations to provide contrast in space through attraction, revelation, and pause for thought; the immersive rhythm brings about a renewed sense of comfort and energy to the psyche.
The space as a whole is formed by the interplay of vertical tension and the penetration of horizontal visual boundaries, creating a specific and rich sense of place.
Chapter 6
In such varied realms, where myriad beings flourish, the fusion of all spaces with new ecosystems resembles a Jiangnan woman in a cheongsam strolling through the corridors, while a fashionable gentleman steps into the hall. They cross paths in the dimension of time, their presences overlapping and interweaving.
Chapter 7
Light and shadow interplay between illusion and reality, Zen nourishes the soul, and life reveals its poetic essence. This represents the ultimate state of being, where flowers bloom halfway and the wine is just slightly intoxicating—everything is perfectly balanced.
What I deeply cherish, in essence, is the harmonious blend and fluidity of "emotion" and "scenery" that emerge from the world of imagery, driven by feelings. It is beyond the natural world, forming a unique and mystical realm of its own.
Chapter 8
Both the void and the tangible are blank canvases; from their interplay, life emerges, turning every unpainted space into a wondrous realm. The mutual enhancement of scenery and objects conveys a spatial atmosphere where movement and stillness are orderly, and harmony and interest coexist.
Chapter 9
Objects and culture, the splendor of nature, become magnificent through the transformations brought by flow and change. Wherever the mind's eye reaches, emotions and literature follow, embodying their inherent glory. Revealed as they exist, they are further illuminated by their own brilliance, moving people boundlessly!
