Project Name: A Lifetime of Residence
Design Unit: Yuanxi Creative Design Studio
Design Director: Duan Yuan
Project Location: Beijing, China
Project Area: 800 square meters

"A Lifetime of Residence" transforms a blank space into one that can warm the heart. Beyond offering comfort, it also allows one to genuinely feel the meaning of "coming home."
Chapter 1
Main Entrance Hall

The designer meticulously selected gray veined rock slabs, white venetian sheer curtains, and linen-colored carpets and sofas, creating a warm and harmonious ambiance. Complemented by green plants to invigorate the space, the transformed balcony allows natural light to penetrate the interior, completely transforming the previously dim tones into a practical and brightly lit space.
Chapter 2
Living Room

The living room:
The modern decoration style, the ceiling design without a main light, and the simple but not simplistic details all around reflect Teacher Duan's intentions. The entire wall is made of floor-to-ceiling windows that allow the sunlight to generously fill the room, paired with interlacing soft tones, the whole space is imbued with the warmth of a home.
Chapter 3
Dining Room

Dining Room:
The dining table features a double-layered tabletop with a rotating surface for placing dishes, and another layer for setting tableware, adding both a sense of ceremony and convenience to the dining experience. The double-ring chandelier directly above the dining table not only enhances the atmosphere during meals but also adds an artistic touch, lending the dining room an air of elegance.
From the ceiling and lighting fixtures to the dining table, circular designs are utilized, more directly conveying the symbolism of family unity and togetherness.
Chapter 4
West Kitchen

Western Kitchen:
Passing through the dining room, one enters the western-style kitchen, which is equipped with a wine cabinet, a meal preparation cabinet, and everything needed. Next to the kitchen island, there is a specially placed movable dining table, adding flexibility and convenience to life. The geometric three-dimensional chandelier above the island enhances the entire space, infusing the dining atmosphere with a sense of art.
A Western-style light meal in the morning and a glass of red wine at night, this is the "life" at home.
Chapter 5
Tea Room

Tea Room:
The homeowner can invite family members to gather for a casual chat, or brew a pot of tea to entertain friends. On a certain afternoon, sitting in front of a simple and rustic tea table, discussing the art of tea or chatting about current events is thoroughly enjoyable and comfortable.
Chapter 6
The Dance Hall

Dance Hall:
The apartment features a dance hall, where a wall of mirrors creates a sense of expanded space across several dimensions. In addition to practicing dance, it can also be used for leisure games or yoga and fitness activities.
A water bar is situated next to the dance hall, so when one is tired from activities, children can replenish fluids and share life experiences there. This convenience is just another aspect of home.
Chapter 7
Study Room

Study Room:
The study room is accompanied by a full wall of bookshelves, with an arc-shaped cabinet structure and contrasting color design, filling the entire room with a sense of the future. The oval-shaped ceiling echoes the oval-shaped desk, providing a space for children to think quietly and concentrate.
Chapter 8
Master Bedroom

Master Bedroom:
The south-facing master bedroom features floor-to-ceiling windows, making the room exceptionally bright and airy. A chaise lounge by the window allows for basking in abundant sunlight during afternoon naps.
The en-suite master bathroom includes a double sink design, complemented by a built-in bathtub and a separate shower area, offering full functionality. Additionally, a dressing table is also incorporated, providing ample space for makeup and grooming. This setup ensures that early morning preparations do not disturb anyone sleeping in the master bedroom, promoting a sense of ease and comfort within the home.
Chapter 9
Secondary Bedrooms
The secondary bedrooms, three in total with one facing south and two facing north, have been designed to maximize natural light, eliminating any concerns about illumination. In terms of amenities, besides their elegant style, they are also fully equipped on a functional level, nearly on par with the master bedroom, ensuring comfort and convenience for anyone at home.
